Mission Bay Watersports is the sister company of Auckland Sea Kayaks.
We run one of Auckland’s longest-running paddle sport centers, offering stand-up paddleboard and kayak rentals on Mission Bay Beach. Whether you’re after equipment rentals, private coaching, guided experiences or large corporate bookings, we cater to everybody regardless of age or prior experience.
Our team of instructors consists of experienced sea kayakers and SUP paddlers who are personally committed to conservation and paddling. To ensure the utmost safety, new staff members undergo a comprehensive training program tailored to the conditions of the Hauraki Gulf, where Mission Bay Watersports is located.
As a professional SUP school, Mission Bay Watersports adheres to the guidelines and standards set by SNZ (Surfing New Zealand) and the International Surfing Association (ISA). Their expertise and dedication to providing high-quality instruction ensure that participants have the best possible SUP experience.

Kayak & Paddle boarding lessons
We offer both Stand up Paddle Board group and private lessons. Also, we offer sit-on-top kayak private lessons.
