Cleaning your Sea Kayak

Cleaning your Sea Kayak

Sea Kayaks can last a life time if well looked after and maintained. If you are not using your sea kayak, keep it covered and out of the direct sunlight.

It is also important to hose down the sea kayak with fresh water after use. Hose out the sea kayaks cockpit area well along with the foot rests, seat and webbing.

With polyethylene sea kayaks, small particles of dirt can fill small pin holes. These can be water blasted clear and wax the sea kayak to fill them. These small holes have no effect on the sea kayaks performance and are a characteristic of all polyethylene made products.
