Paddling the Hauraki Gulf / Tīkapa Moana is a community photography online exhibition, as part of the Auckland Festival of Photography 2021.

The Hauraki Gulf / Tīkapa Moana holds significant importance to Auckland Sea Kayaks and our community.

Thank you to the contributing photographers who share a personal commitment and passion for conservation and paddling.[gem_gallery gallery_gallery=”27290″ gallery_type=”grid” gallery_layout=”4x” gallery_style=”metro” gaps_size=”42″ metro_max_row_height=”280″]For the Festival of Photography Auckland Sea Kayaks wants to see your best photographs of Paddling the Hauraki Gulf / Tikapa Moana

In June we will be sharing an online exhibition as part of the Auckland Festival of Photography – featuring our communities inspiring photographs of paddling.

Images can be of any aspect of paddling, including but not limited to:
– images that share the exciting, action-packed and educational side of sea kayaking
– pictures of our backyard’s friendly marine wildlife
– beautiful landscapes captured from the ocean
– heartening photographs of Auckland’s Waitemata harbour, meaning ‘sparkling waters’

You have until Mon 31 May 2021 to submit an online photo submission – via the below form. (Photo must be a maximum of 2 MB per photo and.jpg format is preferred)

Auckland Sea kayaks will include your photograph/s in the online exhibition on show 3 – 20 June as part of Auckland Festival of Photography. Your uploaded photo may be used to promote paddling in the Hauraki Gulf on through the Festival of Photography official channels and / or on Auckland Sea Kayaks social channels and website.

Prize: $390 Gift Voucher (12 month expiry) for Auckland Sea Kayaks Guided Tours. *Gift Voucher T&C’s apply.

Digital Storyteller – www.oceanpatrice.com will select a winning Auckland Sea Kayaks photographer.

Stunning morning with flat water as we got set up for another @emr_nz day. Loads of locals learning about how amazing Lake Rototoa is. For those that don't about this amazing sand dune fresh water lake which is located at the northern end of the south head of the Kaipara Harbour should go and check it out. Or even better wait until EMR runs another of their legendary experience days @visitauckland
