Bronze Adventurous Journey – At Auckland Sea Kayaks, we educate students through both marine and land-based learning, providing a solid foundation for progressing through the Duke of Edinburgh Hillary Award. Our Bronze Adventurous Journey combines training and practice journeys, offering hands-on learning in a fun and safe environment. Experience the thrill of sea kayaking in Auckland while building essential outdoor skills and gaining a deeper appreciation for the marine environment.
Silver Adventurous Journey – Building on skills already learned, our Silver Adventurous Journey involves students more deeply in the planning and preparation of their sea kayaking expeditions in Auckland, which venture further afield. We encourage participants to take control of the journeys and lead when required, fostering ownership and building responsibility while exploring Auckland’s stunning coastline and hidden bays. This journey enhances navigational skills and promotes teamwork.
Gold Adventurous Journey – Explore the clear waters, sheltered campsites, and natural sanctuaries of the Hauraki Gulf Marine Park, one of the world’s premier sea kayaking locations. For the Gold Adventurous Journey, participants plan and execute the journey themselves, with one of our qualified instructors shadowing the group to ensure safety. Discover the beauty and challenge of advanced sea kayaking in Auckland’s pristine waters.
Sail & Kayak Journey – Set sail and paddle into adventure with the 5-Day Kayak and Sail Programme! This journey, in partnership with the New Zealand Sailing Trust, empowers young adventurers (14-18 years) through an unforgettable mix of sailing, kayaking, and personal growth. Explore the stunning Hauraki Gulf, build resilience, and form lifelong friendships while embracing the spirit of adventure and environmental stewardship.
