First time sea kayaker

First time sea kayaker.

(The below blog was put together by our fantastic intern who is helping us out with marketing for 10 weeks)

I just arrived in Auckland a few weeks ago. The first exciting thing I did when I arrived was a kayak tour to Rangitoto Island. What a great start to my internship at Auckland Sea Kayaks.

We were a little international group, which made the trip individual and multi cultural. Although I never did kayaking before, it was so much fun and so easy to handle. We needed approximately 1,5 hours one way to the island and the time went so fast at the water.

Arriving at Rangitoto we had some coffee and muffins. After that we were hiking to the top of Rangitoto where we had an awesome view over Auckland. We crossed a little lava cave which was such a great experience for me.

When we were back to the kayaks we had a very tasty lunch which gave us some new power for the kayaking back to Auckland. The way back was a little bit windy but that makes it so much fun and I felt very safe.
It was a such great day and hopefully I will kayaking again!
