Tara Mulvany sold out presentation Auckland 5th of May, 2016

Sold out for Tara Mulvany

Last Thursday 5th of May, Tara Mulvany was in Auckland to give a presentation to a sold-out audience about her recent circumnavigation of the Svalbard Archipelago. Tara Mulvany’s account of the expedition is fascinating and the talk was a fix of high-quality photography and short videos. The 71-day 2300km trip is one of the world’s great sea kayak trips and if you missed the talk you can see some of the photography in the recent Canoe and Kayak 2016 Winter magazine or http://www.canoekayak.com/land-of-ice-and-bears
Auckland Sea Kayaks was an expedition sponsor and hosted the event.
Per Gustav “PG” Porsanger paddles along the face of Europe’s largest glacier, the Austfonna, which guards the shore of Nordaustlandet Island for more than 100 miles. An expert skier and hunter, PG spent years in the Norwegian special forces. Though only a novice kayaker, he possessed other attributes to round out a strong three-paddler expedition team with Jamie Sharp and Tara Mulvany.
